The University of Illinois Advanced Digital Sciences Center (ADSC) in Singapore seeks Postdoctoral Fellows and Research Scientists for multiple exciting new research projects on security of cyber-physical systems. Future cities will increasingly be smart, providing an environment where people's everyday lives are supported by various cyber-physical infrastructures such as electric power generation and transmission systems, urban transportation systems. Particularly for a modern city with dense population like Singapore, the security, safety, and reliability of these infrastructures are critical. By collaborating with a number of local universities, industry partners, and government agencies, ADSC will develop new security technologies for cyber-physical systems and make fundamental breakthroughs in cybersecurity research. Applicants should possess a PhD in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field. We seek candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Cyber-physical systems
- Sensor networks
- Control theory and systems
- Security
Advantages of working at ADSC and in Singapore include: (1) internationally competitive remuneration, (2) stable funding, (3) high-quality living and low tax rates. Interested candidates should submit their curriculum vitae, cover letter, and names of at least two references as soon as possible. Further information and the on-line application procedure are available at http://adsc.illinois.edu/opportunities/adsc-employment-opportunities
IMPORTANT: Interested candidates are encouraged to contact Dr. Rui Tan at tanrui at adsc.com.sg to receive the earliest consideration.
* About ADSC and the Positions:
Based in Singapore's science and engineering research complex in Fusionopolis, ADSC is led by outstanding faculty from the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with core funding provided by Singapore's Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). If you have a track record of demonstrated excellence in research, we invite you to apply for ADSC's full-time positions in Singapore. You will conduct research in collaboration with Illinois faculty and your ADSC colleagues. You will have the opportunity to spend time on the Illinois campus to foster direct interaction with your Illinois colleagues. While you build an excellent research record, you will also develop your leadership skills by working to define and guide projects and by supervising graduate and undergraduate students.
