The Department of Network and Systems Engineering consists of about 30 faculty members, researchers and doctoral students who contribute to a high professional standard of intensive work and quality results, as well as to a friendly and open environment. The staff
has a multicultural background and the working language is English. We are an internationally recognized department investigating most aspects of Networks, Computer and Wireless Networking, Internet of Things, Security and Privacy, and Management of Projects,

<b class="">PhD positions description</b><br class="">

We are currently looking for 1-2 doctoral students with a strong background and interest in Mathematics, Optimization, Machine Larning, and Networks. Our research projects will support these doctoral students within the areas of Optimization and Machine Learning
with application to Internet of Things, Wireless Networks, or Cyber Physical Systems.<br class="">

The doctoral student program in Electrical Engineering provides world class quality education, including a large list of graduate courses ensuring an in-depth development of relevant competences and skills.<br class="">

The candidates are expected to hold or to be about to receive an MSc degree in Mathematics, Engineering Physics, Electrical engineering, Computer Science or similar fields. The candidates should have excellent grades, very good skills in oral and written communication, and
well developed analytical and problem solving skills. They should be ready to contribute to an international research group and a scientific research agenda of major importance for European industry and society. KTH aims to employ a diversity of talent and
