The University of Illinois Advanced Digital Sciences Center (ADSC) in
Singapore seeks Postdoctoral Fellows and Research Scientists for an
exciting new project on "A Cyber-Physical Approach to Securing Urban
Transportation Systems." Future cities will increasingly be smart,
providing an environment where people's everyday lives are supported by
various cyber-physical infrastructures. Particularly for a modern city with
dense population like Singapore, the security, safety, and reliability of
its urban transportation systems are critical. By collaborating with
Singapore's Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), Singapore University of
Technology and Design (SUTD), and a number of industry partners, ADSC will
develop new security technologies for urban transportation systems and make
fundamental breakthroughs in cyber security research. Applicants should
possess a PhD in computer engineering, computer science, electrical
engineering, or a related field. We seek candidates with expertise in one
or more of the following areas:
(1) Computer and network security
(2) Cyber-physical systems
(3) Control theory and systems
(4) Wireless and mobile communication
(5) Threat modeling, security and risk assessment
Multiple positions are available immediately and will remain open until
filled. Interested candidates should submit their curriculum vitae, cover
letter, and three letters of recommendation. Further information and the
on-line application procedure are available at
http://adsc.illinois.edu/opportunities/adsc-employment-opportunities

About ADSC and the Positions
Based in Singapore's science and engineering research complex in
Fusionopolis, ADSC is led by outstanding faculty from the College of
Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with core
funding provided by Singapore's Agency for Science, Technology and Research
(A*STAR).

If you have a track record of demonstrated excellence in research, we
invite you to apply for ADSC's full-time positions in Singapore. You will
conduct research in collaboration with Illinois faculty and your ADSC
colleagues. You will have the opportunity to spend time on the Illinois
campus to foster direct interaction with your Illinois colleagues. While
you build an excellent research record, you will also develop your
leadership skills by working to define and guide projects and by
supervising graduate and undergraduate students.

*** Positions at the Engineer level (Bachelor’s or Master’s) and
Internships are also available. ***
