CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
ACM TRANSACTIONS ON INTERNET TECHNOLOGY (TOIT)

The term of the current editor-in-chief of TOIT
(http://www.acm.org/toit/) is coming to an end, and the ACM
Publications Board has set up a nominating committee to assist the
Board in selecting the next EIC.

Nominations, including self nominations, are invited for a three-year
term as TOIT EIC, beginning as soon as the position can be filled. The
EIC appointment may be renewed once, after review. This is an entirely
voluntary position, but ACM will provide appropriate administrative
support.

The EIC is responsible for maintaining the highest editorial quality,
for setting technical direction of the papers published in TOIT, and
for maintaining a reasonable pipeline of articles for
publication. He/she has final say on acceptance of papers, size of the
Editorial Board, and appointment of Associate Editors. The new EIC
will transition TOIT to using ManuscriptCentral to handle
submissions. The EIC is expected to adhere to the commitments
expressed in the ACM Publishing Rights and Responsibilities Policy
(http://www.acm.org/pubs/rights.html). For more information about the
role of the EIC, see http://www.acm.org/pubs/editors_manual.html.

Nominations should include a c.v. of the nominee, as well as a brief
statement of why the nominee should be considered. Self-nominations
are encouraged. The deadline for submitting nominations is July 8,
2007,
but nominations will be accepted until the position is filled.

Please send all nominations to the nominating committee chair,
Lorrie Cranor, <lorrie at acm.org>.

The nominating committee members are:

Lorrie Cranor, Carnegie Mellon University
Erich Nahum, IBM TJ Watson Research
Dick Bulterman, Centrum voor Wiskunde en Informatica
Ricardo Baeza-Yates, Yahoo! Research
Ee-Peng Lim, Nanyang Technological University
