Then, again, this suggests a solution that doesn't require the
complexity you're talking about. A simple IS-IS hello with a marker
saying: "This is not a transit link" would do nicely, probably.

And why are you connecting them this way? To provide resilience to a set
of servers? Then there are other solutions. To provide 4000 transit
links for better throughput? Then you need a new network.
