Not really.... In real life, all routers suffer from scaling issues, no
matter what their processors look like. Massively parallel links are one
thing any good routing book will tell you to avoid like the plague.

Not to mention that highly parallel links will slow down convergence
dramatically, sometimes actually causing convergence to fail altogether.
I'd guess that 50% of the networks I've seen large scale failures in
have massive parallelism as a contributing factor.
